In School Support

There is a range of Supported Study sessions available for Senior Phase subjects at lunchtime and afterschool throughout the week. 

🌐 Beeslack Supported Study Sessions

Homework Club is available for S1 to S3 learners on a Wednesday Lunchtime in the Library. 

Department Websites

Some faculities have created their own dedicated Google Websites to support learning and revision in their subjects.  

• BGE & Senior Phase Science

• Senior Phase French

• National History

• Higher Music

• N5 & H Computing Science

• Numeracy Skills Practice

These websites will only be accessible learners, should they have any issues accessing the websites or materials within them they should speak to their class teacher. 

Additionally, class teachers will share a range of revision material with learners in Google Classroom. 

eSgoil Supported Study

eSgoil is a national e-learning services which focus on live, interactive and online learning approaches to improve outcomes for young people. 

To allow learners to consolidate thrir learning, eSgoil offers a programme of Stufy Support for Senior Phase learners across Scotland, working towards their National Qualifications.  They offer evening sessions and sessions during the Easter Break. 

For more information and to sign-up to these sessions head to the eSgoil Website.  Learners will need to know their Glow Login Details - if they do not know these they should speak to their one of their Class Teachers.

Achieve

Achieve is an online revision platform designed to support Senior Phase learners.

Learners can use Achieve to:

• Access revision notes and learning materials

• Complete self-evaluation activities

• Practise exam-style and past paper questions

To get started:

• Create your own login on the website

• Use the access code provided by your class teacher to unlock all resources

If learners don't have an account, they should create on using their @midlothian.education account, and the School Code provided by their teacher.

Read & Write

Read&Write is a literacy support tool that helps with everyday tasks such as reading text aloud, understanding unfamiliar words, researching assignments and proofreading written work.  It can also be used as a powerful study tool to support recalling, researching and reviewing content - see the guide below.

Read&Write is available to all learners on their Midlothian-issued Chromebook.
