What are Marking Instructions?
The Marking Instructions are what the Exam Makers use to determine what marks a candidate has gained for each questions. For some subjects this will be the answer to the questions, for other subjects it will be skills/features the marker is looking for the candidate to demonstrate.
Whilst reviewing Marking Instructions can be useful they should be carefully used ...
Try to attempt a Past Paper Question without the Marking Instructions first - if you're unsure how to answer the question try using your notes.
Once you attempted the question, review the Marking Instructions. For some subject you'll be able to determine the number of marks you would obtain - use the Marking Instructions to add to your answer so the answer would gain maximum marks.
If your not sure how your answer would mark, or would like additional feedback speak to your Teacher.
One of the tools within the Learn area of ACHIEVE is that Past Paper questions are mapped to each area of the course. So if you are reviewing a particular aspect of the course you can identify Past Paper Questions that cover the area your focusing on.
