Our S3 Events & Theatre Production class successfully planned and delivered the Beeslack Christmas Fayre, showcasing an impressive range of transferable skills.

The learners took full responsibility for organising the event, from creating a detailed planning timeline and managing advertising and marketing, to inviting local businesses and designing their own stalls to raise funds.  They also carefully planned what they needed to produce in order to make a profit, developing valuable enterprise and financial skills along the way.

On the day of the Fayre, learners ran their own stalls and welcomed visiting businesses, offering support with setting up and ensuring the event ran smoothly.

The afternoon was a great success, with strong attendance from learners, staff and members of the local community.  The S3 stalls alone raised almost £300, a fantastic achievement.

As a school community, we are extremely proud of the hard work, commitment and professionalism shown by the S3 class.  We were also delighted to receive such positive feedback from local businesses, particularly praising the learners’ manners, helpfulness and enthusiasm throughout the event.
