Hibernian U19s
Murray was invited to travel to London with the Hibernian U19s squad who played West Ham. This was as incredible experience to compete with a premiership club and see how they train. Murray was the youngest across both squads.
Murray was awarded Under 17s Player of the Year. This is a huge achievement and reflects the commitment, effort and leadership Murray demonstrates week in week out.
He was also named in the U19s Hibernian squad playing Dundee United in the League Cup Semi Final. Murray made his debut for the U19s and they were successful in gaining a place in the final winning 4-1.
Well done to Jorji who made it into the U15 Edinburgh district squad but also was part of the winning team in the Scottish Championships. Best of luck to Jorji who is now trialling for the U17 district squads.
In partnership with Penicuik RFC and Edinburgh Rugby, Mr Haynes (PE) and Miss Thomson (Maths) took 2 groups of S1 pupils to BT Murrayfield/Hive stadium for an interdisciplinary learning opportunity called Tackle Maths. Pupils were tasked with Math challenges around different parts of the stadium: Club shop, the gym, The Hive pitch and Murrayfield Stadium changing rooms and National Tunnel. We will be looking to run this trip again and offering a practical rugby session next time on the Hive pitch.
